What is ClientKit?
ClientKit is an iPhone, iPad, and Mac app for independent consultants, tutors, landscapers, and solo service professionals. It replaces the notebook, voice recorder, camera app, and invoicing spreadsheet with a single tool that captures everything during a client session and turns it into a professional invoice at the end — on any of your Apple devices.
During a session, ClientKit records audio and automatically transcribes it in real time using on-device Apple Speech — no internet required. On Mac, you can also import a Zoom or Google Meet recording and ClientKit will automatically transcribe it and add the notes to your session timeline. Notes, photos, and transcript all appear in a single unified chronological timeline. After the session, the app generates a polished PDF invoice with a full session notes appendix.

Who is ClientKit for?
ClientKit is built for any solo service professional: tutors, landscapers, handymen, personal trainers, life coaches, music teachers, photographers, home cleaners, consultants, and more. If you see clients, take notes, and send invoices, ClientKit is for you.
Is my data private?
Yes. All session recordings, transcripts, photos, notes, and client data are stored locally on your device. No account is required, and nothing is sent to any server. iCloud sync is an optional Pro feature you explicitly opt into.
Does it work without Wi-Fi?
Fully. Recording, transcription, notes, photos, and invoice generation all work completely offline. ClientKit uses Apple’s on-device Speech framework, so transcription never needs an internet connection.
Can I export my data for accounting?
Yes. ClientKit exports both a standard CSV and an accounting-software CSV with separate invoices and expenses files. The accounting export matches QuickBooks Online’s import template and is also compatible with Xero, Wave, FreshBooks, and Zoho Books.
Does ClientKit work on Mac?
Yes. ClientKit is available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac (macOS 13 Ventura or later) as a single Universal Purchase. The Mac version includes all review, editing, invoicing, and analytics features, plus Mac-specific additions: import Zoom or video recordings for automatic transcription, paste or drag-and-drop screenshots into session timelines, and a full keyboard-shortcut menu bar. Pro subscribers sync all data automatically across all devices via iCloud.
Can I import a Zoom or recorded video session?
Yes, on Mac. Click “Import Video Recording” and select a Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, or any .mp4/.mov file. ClientKit extracts the audio and automatically transcribes it using on-device Apple Speech, adding timestamped notes to your session timeline. The video plays back in the session detail so you can reference specific moments. This feature is available on Mac only.
What’s the difference between free and Pro?
The free tier gives you 2 clients with unlimited sessions — all features included: recording, transcription, notes, photos, invoices, analytics, and Mac support. Pro ($7.99/month or $59.99/year) removes the client limit and adds automatic iCloud cross-device sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. There are no other restrictions.
